Derek and Nicole Smith

We were just recently married, and started our journey together a little before, by opening Stop Drop & Clean.  We both come from larger families and have Mothers that are OCD about cleanliness. Nicole is the youngest of 4 girls and I am the oldest of 6 (5 younger sisters). I know, poor guy, wow, how did he do it? We both never thought of ourselves as owning a cleaning business, until I took a part time job a couple years ago cleaning at nights. After that it became a weekly discussion and we started practicing while timing each other cleaning our own home.  We found that cleaning together was a blast, and made a game out of it by making a mark, or hiding something before the other cleaned to see if they would find it. Practice does make perfect, and helped us sprout up Stop Drop & Clean.

Bellingham is home and where we will raise our family. We hope to keep growing Stop Drop & Clean to become one of the larger cleaning companies in Whatcom County and to be able give more and more opportunities for employment.
